Monadelphous wins multiple contracts worth $140m

Australian engineering group Monadelphous has secured new contracts and additional works for customers in the resources, energy and infrastructure markets with a combined value of approximately $140 million.

The company has been awarded a five year extension to its existing contract with BHP Billiton to support the company’s Olympic Dam copper-uranium operation at Roxby Downs in South Australia, where it has been providing maintenance and industrial service support for more than 25 years.

It has also won a contract for the design, construction and commissioning of a liquid fuel supply system for Rio Tinto Iron Ore at its Cape Lambert Port Facility near Karratha, in Western Australia. This contract follows the successful completion of petroleum pipeline installations at its West Angelas and Cape Lambert facilities.

Monadelphous will also design and construct a portable water treatment plant for the Western Downs Regional Council in Chinchilla, Queensland.

In addition, the company has also been contracted to perform electrical and instrumentation works for the product loading jetty with JKC Australia LNG Pty and the Ichthys Project Onshore LNG Facilities in Darwin in the Northern Territory.
