According to Minister Pulford, the assistance for Victorian primary producers will be on par with that offered to New South Wales after the state was hit by the violent storm which caused blackouts and flooding in the area.

The concessional loans are administered by Rural Finance Victoria and can be used to fund recovery activities, including restoring damaged buildings and replacing damaged equipment or crops.

As announced by Minister Pulford, primary producers wishing to apply for the concessional interest rate loan should contact Rural Finance Victoria on 1800 260 425 or visit www.ruralfinance.com.au.

“The Andrews Labor Government is helping Victorian growers get back on their feet after the Sunraysia storm,” Ms Pulford said.

“The concessional loans will ensure our growers have the support they need to maintain their operations and help their businesses recover. I encourage all Victorian primary producers who suffered direct physical impact as a result of the Sunraysia storm to contact Rural Finance Victoria and determine their eligibility for the loans.”
