HPA is the major source material for scratch-resistant artificial sapphire crystal, which is used in the next generation of smartphones as well as a growing range of high performance electronic applications.

The company’s HPA Project consists of its proposed aluminous clay (kaolin) mining operation and beneficiation plant at Meckering, Western Australia, and the proposed Malaysian HPA plant.

According to Altech’s Managing Director, Mr Iggy Tan, the Agreement with Mitsubishi is another important milestone for the Company’s HPA project.
