The State Government of Western Australia has awarded Cauldron Energy’s Bennet Well uranium project lead agency project status.
The validation from Western Australia’s Department of Mines and Petroleum is recognition of the company’s extensive work in defining uranium mineralisation at Bennet Well which is located in the Carnarvon Basin, approximately 130km to the south of Onslow.
The project is 100% owned and operated by Cauldron Energy.
“The lead agency status provides the Company with key internal liaison personnel in the DMP to advise and assist Cauldron’s team navigate the approvals process,” Cauldron said in a statement to the ASX.
“The focus on Cauldron’s Bennet Well deposit underlines firstly the progress that the Company has made in understanding and defining the mineralisation and its potential application for this low cost and low environmental impact mining method.”
Since acquiring the project, the Perth-based resource development company has conducted three rotary mud drill programs; four aircore drilling campaigns; two diamond drilling campaigns and several geological mapping programs and geochemical sampling programs among other activities.
