Northern Territory (NT) Deputy Chief Minister Nicole Manison‘s energy and resources trade mission has moved to South Korea, where she will focus on critical minerals and renewable technologies.
According to the NT Government, the trade mission aims to establish strong relationships with potential investors interested in critical minerals and energy developments in the State.
Deputy Chief Minister Manison’s visit to the country follows several productive meetings with companies, financiers, and government representatives in Tokyo, Japan.
The face-to-face engagement is expected to strengthen relationships and create trading opportunities for both Australia and South Korea.
Deputy Chief Minister Manison’s engagements include meetings with potential investors and facilitated networking events to highlight the opportunities in the NT.
“The NT’s message in Tokyo was received with significant interest, we are open for business, committed to facilitating investment and have the resources to provide energy security,” she said.
Minister Manison added that the move will bring new business to the Territory and support its efforts to grow its economy to $40 billion by 2030.
“In South Korea, the opportunity will be taken to deliver the same message and to reset and rebuild our trade relationship with this really important partner,” she added.
