Develop Global Limited has issued the latest results from its drilling activities at its Woodlawn Zinc-Copper Mine, saying assays received to date intersect mineralisation outside the current underground resource.

According to the company, results received from the second batch of laboratory assays from the ongoing exploration programme have returned additional high-grade copper-zinc massive sulphide intersections across multiple horizons, including the thickest sulphide intersection in the project’s history.

Results also identified additional zones of massive and stringer-style mineralisation at the interpreted A, B, C, G and J Lens horizons.

The copper-rich intersections follow on from and expand the previously reported high-grade mineralisation within the current program.

Adertisement

Develop added that the style and tenor of mineralisation in the newly identified section of the J Lens is encouraging and suggests its proximity to a high-grade feeder structure.

Intersections of massive and stringer-style intersections received greater than 330 m down plunge in the C Lens position and continue to refine Develop’s interpretation that the mineralising system remains open and untested beneath the lens.

The program is designed to convert inferred resources to indicated, extend the mineralised lenses at depth and along strike, and drill-test recently identified electromagnetic conductors.

Commenting on the updates, Develop Managing Director Bill Beament said the intersection within the B Lens shows that the Woodlawn geological system is developing into something “special.”

“The thickest ever intersection, combined with the discovery of a new, high-grade copper section of J Lens confirms Develop’s strategy that aggressive drilling will lead to substantial increases in the project resources,” he added.

“We always believed that once we started drilling the orebody the results would be good, however we were never expecting an immediate high-grade copper discovery at J Lens, or a 75 m intersection in the B Lens. This is very exciting times for the project, its team and our shareholders,” Beament noted.
