bp and Uber are set to expand their global partnership to offer special incentives and EV charging discounts to Australian drivers.
Under a memorandum of understanding, EV drivers on the Uber network will enjoy a discount on charging at any bp pulse charging station across Australia.
Uber driver-partners and delivery personnel currently benefit from various end-to-end services at selected bp service stations, including fuel reductions, wildbean Cafe barista coffees, miniwash carwash, and other shop products at specific locations.
“We’re bringing the best of our global expertise in EV charging to build Australia’s most convenient EV charging network,” bp Australia President and SVP fuels & low carbon solutions Frédéric Baudry said.
“This new deal for EV drivers on Uber’s platform builds on our great existing relationship, and we look forward to welcoming them to take advantage of bp’s great retail offers,” Baudry stated.
“This partnership is a first for rideshare in Australia, and we’re thrilled to build on our partnership with bp that has brought significant savings to drivers over the past year,” Uber ANZ General Manager Dom Taylor said.
Uber drivers and delivery people may use the bp pulse app to take advantage of these new charging options. The rate of savings will vary depending on a driver’s Uber Pro tier rating.
