BHP Iron Ore has selected Southern Cross Electrical Engineering (SCEE) Group as one of the Construction Contractors for the execution of its Village Security Project.

The agreement, which exceeds $15m in value, will see SCEE carry our upgrades to access, lighting, and monitoring systems across BHP’s Villages in the Pilbara.

SCEE Group Managing Director Graeme Dunn said the works have already commenced, with SCEE drawing on capabilities from businesses across the group (including electrical, security and communications services from SCEE Electrical, SEME and Datatel respectively) to deliver a multi-technology solution.

“This project is a great example of the breadth of offering the group now presents to clients following our diversification strategy of recent years,” he concluded.

Adertisement

According to SCEE’s media statement, the project is expected to be complete by mid-2022.
