Clean Energy Council unveiled renewable energy-focused e-learning course

The Clean Energy Council has launched a short e-learning course that provides attendees with foundational grounding and principles on the functions and operation of solar, wind power, hydropower and energy storage.

According to the council, the course will help recruitment professionals better understand the renewable energy industry and what skills energy companies are particularly interested in.

Participants will examine the renewables industry landscape, including investment and finance, projects of interest and new career pathways.

Individuals will also review the significant technologies that comprise Australia’s renewable energy mix and identify the key issues the renewable industry currently faces.

The program will also provide attendees with an understanding of renewable energy technologies and regulatory frameworks, including knowledge of subsidies, incentives and other programs designed to promote renewable energy.

Participants will also get the chance to learn about emerging trends, innovations, new technologies, business models and financing mechanisms designed to support the emergence of new career paths in energy.

In addition, individuals will learn about sustainability, environmental awareness, the total reach of the renewables industry and a better understanding of the skills relevant to the industry.

The course is eLearning-based and includes real-life examples, case studies, and video and audio elements.

In total, the course provides up to 8 hours of self-paced learning content.

Attendees may access the content and study over an extended period, as the materials will be available for review once the course is completed.

Learners who successfully complete the course will receive a foundational micro credential skill badge to add to their online profile.

Clean Energy Council members receive a 50 per cent discount until the end of the financial year, while non-members can receive a 25 per cent discount for bulk registrations of two or above until the end of the financial year.
