Mining company CuDeco Limited has announced that ore feed commissioning at its flagship Cloncurry plant in north-west Queensland has begun.
In an ASX Announcement, the company said that the start of ore feed commissioning marks another milestone in the development of its Rocklands Group Copper Project.
Increasing the amount of ore to be processed through the plant and optimising the performance of all individual units and process sections will be the next step, according to CuDeco, while first shipment of product is expected by the end of June.
CuDeco’s Managing Director Dr Dianmin Chen said the ore feed was an important milestone for the full commissioning of the Rocklands processing plant.
“Management, operators and contractors continue to work hard to ensure the commissioning is completed as quickly as possible, and I look forward to updating shareholders on our progress as we deliver new jobs, revenue and other economic benefits to all stakeholders,” Mr Chen said.
After acquiring the mining tenement in 2005, CuDeco has been intensively working on brining the Rocklands (numerous old historical copper mines) into production.
