The approvals are for the 2 Mining Leases and associated Miscellaneous Licences which cover the planned mining, processing and waste facilities and haul roads.

The company said the approvals, together with the recently granted Native Vegetation Clearing Permit, pave the way for planned mobilisation and mining activities to commence during the first quarter of 2017.

“Altura looks forward to implementing processes, through its Environmental Management Plans, to achieve the environmental outcomes detailed in the Mining Proposal. These processes and plans will also reflect all other conditions stipulated in the DMP approval,” Altura told the ASX.

“The key approval of the Mining Proposal and Mine Closure Plan will be favourably viewed by Altura’s potential funding and offtake partners as he Company works toward securing the final portion of funding for the project.”
