Recent aircore (AC) drilling intersected Cu, AU, and NI mineralisation at the Yuinmery base metals project.
Empire Resources (ASX:ERL) announced today that it has intersected “encouraging” zones of copper, gold and nickel mineralisation at its Yuinmery Project located north-east of Perth in WA.
The intersects were encountered from reconnaissance AC drilling undertaken at the project’s mineral tenements in late 2020.
Commenting on the discovery, Empire Managing Director said: “These strongly anomalous results from the reconnaissance aircore drilling are extremely encouraging and reinforces our hypothesis that the Yuinmery Project represents a significant opportunity for further multi-element mineral discovery.”
Results are pending for all RC drilling, which consists of 76 scout AC holes testing previously undrilled targets.
“Empire has not been sitting on its hands and has already completed follow up RC drilling at a number of the newly identified prospects,” Richardson revealed.
Richardson added that Empire is already planning follow-up RC and diamond drilling to “further improve the geological confidence” in the identified prosects.
Of the 44 identified prospects, 11 still await testing by drilling, while 13 have yet to be drilled below 75m – a case which Richardson claims to offer “excellent opportunities for further discovery”.
“Empire remains well funded. With its singificant invetment portfolio nearing maturity, 2021 will be an extremely active one on all exploration fronts.”
