GR Engineering has reached an agreement to acquire Brisbane-based Mipac Holdings, a global provider of control systems engineering, automation and technology services to the mineral processing industry.
GR Engineering’s Managing Director Geoff Jones said the $21.4 million acquisition will diversify the company’s offering into the delivery of standalone process control design, control systems technology and automation solutions.
“Mipac is highly regarded control systems design engineer and supplier of innovative technology solutions to the mineral processing industry,” he said.
“This acquisition of Mipac is a unique opportunity for GR Engineering to expand the breath of the group’s offering and to leverage Mipac’s capability as an enhancement to GE Engineering’s existing businesses.”
Mipac’s Managing Director Eddie De Rivera said the company was excited to become a part of GR Engineering.
“The Mipac team is looking forward to contributing to GR Engineering’s vision and strategy, and providing a broader and enhanced offering to the combined customer bases of GR Engineering and Mipac.”
The transaction is expected to complete by the end of May 2021.
