Lithium Australia (LIT) has been granted exploration tenure along the Donnybrook-Bridgetown Shear, host to the world’s most productive lithium province and the Talison owned Greenbushes lithium pegmatite mine.

Mr Adrian Griffin, Managing Director of LIT, said the company now holds a 100% equity in the Greenbushes project, adjacent to the world’s largest lithium mine which currently produces about 40% of global lithium supply.
“While Lithium Australia is building a portfolio of lithium exploration and development projects across Australia, these is no doubt the southwest region of Western Australia is not just highly prospective but has a long and proven record in lithium mining,” Mr Griffin said.
He said the company will utilise advanced exploration techniques to explore the area, including the Laser induced Breakdown Spectroscopy, in which LIT is a world leader.
“The geological structure of our expanded Greenbushes holding is ideal for the application of our unique exploration technologies and methods,” Mr Griffin concluded.
