The company, which intends to develop a pit to a depth of 20 metres and about 100 metres long at the Southern Stockwork deposit, said the pit should be completed by the end of September.

MacPhersons’ Managing Director Jeff Williams said the trial mining targets the extraction of 30,000 tonnes of ore which will be hauled some 60km to the FMR Pty Ltd mill at Coolgardie.

He said the processed ore is expected to yield approximately 1700-1800 ounces of gold.

Adertisement

“The startup at Boorara is an exciting step in the Company’s development plant for Boorara and we now watch with interest the deeper RC drilling at Boorara and the results from the current metallurgical test work on the high grade Nimbus silver lodes,” Mr Williams added.
