Matsa said the clearing permit (CPS 7366/1) was granted with few conditions which “can be met with minor changes to the site plan”.

It said the approval process for the Fortitude Mine was progressing on schedule, with the remaining permits – granting of the Mining Proposal, Licence to take Ground Water and DER approval to discharge ground water – expected shortly.

The Fortitude gold deposit (385,300 oz, JORC 2012) is located in the prolific Laverton Tectonic Zone (LTZ) 25km south-west of Sunrise Dam (AGA), 60km south-west of Granny Smith (Goldfields) and 12km south-west of the Red October (Saracen).

The project is considered to have considerable near term production potential, with excellent existing haul roads, nearby processing facilities and strong exploration upside potential.
