Engineering company Monadelphous Group Limited reported today that it had acquired new contracts and contract extensions totalling over $125 million.
Monadelphous has been granted two five-year contracts for the provision of maintenance services and sustaining capital projects at Albemarle Lithium’s operations in Kemerton, Western Australia, both with two-year extension options.
According to Monadelphous, the award of the contract builds on the excellent connection that the company formed with Albemarle throughout the project’s building phase, during which Monadelphous delivered large-scale structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation services.
Furthermore, Monadelphous has been awarded several contracts with Rio Tinto‘s iron ore operations in Western Australia’s Pilbara region, including:
- Overland conveyor belt replacement at the Western Turner Syncline mine; and
- An existing contract for the provision of marine infrastructure has been extended for two years.
- Maintenance services and minor projects are provided in the ports of Cape Lambert and Dampier.
Monadelphous has also been awarded a contract under its BHP WA Iron Ore Site Engineering Panel Agreement to replace bridge bearings in the Port Hedland.
Alevro, Monadelphous’ joint venture with Fagioli in heavy lifting services, has obtained a contract with Bechtel to supply haulage and lifting services for Woodside‘s Pluto Train 2 project.
Managing Director Zoran Bebic stated that Monadelphous was thrilled to strengthen its existing partnerships with Albermarle, Rio Tinto, BHP, and Woodside.
“Since the beginning of the financial year we have secured approximately $1.1 billion in new contracts and contract extensions, highlighting the strength of our customer relationships and our reputation for reliable delivery,” Bebic said.
