NRW Holdings has announced the completion of the acquisition of OFI Group Holdings Pty Ltd and the contract awards for the Iron Bridge project and the Christmas Creek Hall Hub Development Project.

Acquisition

NRW reported it had completed the acquisition of the OFI.

OFI specialises in Industrial Electrical Engineering, Automation, Switchboard design and manufacture, Instrumentation, Design and Construction for the Mining and Resources sector, Government and Defense, Fuels and Explosives, and other critical markets.

According to NRW, the acquisition expands and improves the capabilities and service delivery of the NRW METS Division, which includes RCR Mining Technologies (RCR), DIAB Engineering, and Primero Group. OFI has a long history of engagement with

RCR and will continue to collaborate closely with them.

Contract Awards

DIAB Engineering awarded contract for Crusher and Supporting Infrastructure Maintenance at Iron Bridge

DIAB Engineering has struck a deal with IB Operations Pty Ltd for the Iron Bridge Crusher and Supporting Infrastructure Maintenance.

The contract is worth roughly $30 million over three years, with an optional two-year extension. Works for the contract are expected to commence in Mat 2023.

RCR awarded the D&C contract for the Christmas Creek Hall Hub Development Project

Chichester Metals Pty Ltd has issued a Notice of Award to RCR Mining Technologies, an NRW Holdings subsidiary, for the Design and Construction of the Primary Crushing Facility for the Christmas Creek Hall Hub Development Project.

The Design and Construction contract is valued at around $34 million. According to RCR, works for the contract will commence immediately.

According to NRW, the contract came following the successful delivery of the Hopper 10 Crushing Facility at Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine earlier in 2022. NRW stated that the award is strategically crucial for the company because it demonstrates our engineering-led delivery of new solutions. RCR is collaborating with Primero Group to provide engineering and construction services.

“I am delighted to announce that RCR and DIAB have been awarded these contracts with Fortescue Metals Group, building on their relationships and showcasing their expertise in that sector. I would also take the opportunity to welcome OFI into the NRW METS division and utilising the capabilities they will bring to the Group,” NRW Chief Executive Officer Jules Pemberton said.
