According to the official website of Nuffield Australia, the process for being awarded a 2015 Scholarship will be comprised of an orderly application and interview process, with applicants being required to submit their applications no later than 30 June 2014, while the interview process will be conducted in July and August 2014.

All Australian farmers between 28–40 years of age, who are residents of Australia and intend on continuing production in the country, engaged in farming or fishing as owners or managers or active members of a farming business, are eligible to apply.

Selected Scholars will have a unique opportunity to meet Nuffield Scholars from Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, The Netherlands and France, as well as participants from other invited countries at the annual Nuffield Contemporary Scholars Conference (CSC).

The Scholarships are set to be awarded in September 2014. The Scholarship travel is set to commence in March 2015, when all Scholars from around the world will converge in France for one week for the CSC.

All eligible applicants are required to submit an application that can be procured by filling out a form on the official website of Nuffield Australia. After submitting the form, applicants will be given a new form, a Scholarship application form that is free for download.

“We are proud to announce the opening of the 2015 round of farming scholarships. We are offering 25 scholarships to practising farmers and farm managers, which includes a Contemporary Scholars Conference, Global Focus Program and individual study,” said Andrew Johnson, Chairman of Nuffield Australia.

“Nuffield Australia has been selecting scholars for over 60 years. It is the leading program for primary producers in Australia which identifies new leaders in industry and the community. It is also part of the global network of over 1,300 scholars from many other countries.”

Nuffield also offers financial assistance to the value of $30,000 (subject to conditions) to cover costs associated with the pre-tour briefing, overseas study and living expenses during the study period.
