The event, which opens on 24 February, will be followed by the launch of WA’s Grain Industry Strategy 2025+, an industry-supported strategy aimed at doubling the value of the Western Australian grains industry by 2025.

“This event provides anyone in the grain value chain the opportunity to reflect on production, management and marketing practices in light of the latest applied research and global trends,” Minister Baston said.

“There will be a strong global focus among our keynote speakers looking at international grain market competition and yield improvements, wheat biotechnology research, and Chinese demand for malting barley, as well as the latest information from local experts on new crop varieties and research.”
