Saunders International Limited has secured new contracts in the oil, water, and new energy sectors totalling roughly $18 million, the company announced.

In a statement, Saunders said the company was commissioned to design and construct a 2-megalitre column supported tank for Fulton Hogan in the sector in Victoria.

Saunders was also awarded the project for designing and constructing two diesel and two water tanks for UGL’s new energy project in NSW.

Additionally, Saunders will work on mechanical modifications, supply and installation of two aluminium geodesic dome roofs at BP’s Bulwer Island fuel terminal in Queensland. Amoco developed the Bulwer Island refinery on reclaimed land between 1964 and 1965, and BP purchased it in 1984. It has been modified and improved over the years, and in 2000 it was considerably renovated to generate low sulphur fuels.

Adertisement

According to the company, the projects will contribute to Saunders, revenue and earnings through FY23 into FY24.

“Saunders continues to build on its strong track record of delivering bulk liquid storage solutions for existing and new customers. These project wins are especially pleasing as they will be delivered across the water, new energy and oil & gas sectors,” Saunders’ Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer Mark Benson said.

Benson stated that the projects would allow the Group to make use of its existing plant and equipment as well as its experienced workforce on the East Coast.

Saunders also announced that its FY23 half-year results would be released to the market on 24 February 2023.
