[Updated: Perenti has reported the death of Trevor Davis and Dylan Langridge] Two Barminco personnel are still missing following an incident at the Dugald River mine in Queensland on Wednesday morning, MMG Limited reported.

According to MMG Limited, rescue efforts continued overnight, and the mine’s emergency response team continues to work in close coordination with Barminco and emergency services.

The rescue crew has begun active access to the vehicle, which will require approaching the vehicle from below, thanks to data collected from drone footage yesterday.

Dugald River mine General Manager Tim Akroyd stated that the site’s goal is to access the vehicle as soon as possible while safeguarding the safety of our highly trained emergency response crew.
