Aurelia Metals Limited has named Bryan Quinn, most recently OZ Minerals’ mine technical and technology manager, as managing director and CEO, effective 6 June.
During his tenure at OZ Minerals, he led its growth, strategy, exploration, sales and marketing efforts.
Earlier in his career, Quinn spent more than two decades at BHP, where he held a series of senior executive, operational and business improvement roles.
Quinn said he is excited to join the company at an important time in its growth path and lead an Australian Listed mining company.
“I look forward to meeting all stakeholders, shareholder and employees, as well as working with the management team to deliver the company’s full potential, building on the solid foundations it has today,” he added.
Meanwhile, Aurelia Chair Peter Botten said Quinn’s experience in business improvement, operational excellence and project delivery is an ideal background to assist the company as it works on its development pathway for the Federation mine and Great Cobar Project.
“With the refreshed management team and a competitive and flexible financing package now in place, Aurelia is well positioned to deliver on its value-adding growth trajectory. This represents a pivot point for the company, and we look forward to providing our shareholders with reliable value enhancement,” Botten added.
