Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) has signed a contract to extend its domestic gas supply to Orica, a provider of mining and infrastructure solutions, until 2025.

Orica is a company that manufactures explosives, blasting systems, and mining chemicals for the purpose of mobilising the earth’s resources.

The contract stipulates that APLNG will provide an additional 2.92PJ of gas in 2025.

APLNG Chief Executive Officer Khoa Dao stated that the agreement further demonstrates the company’s commitment to supplying the east coast gas market.

Adertisement

“We are proud to continue supporting Australian industry by supplying Orica the gas needed for its operations,” Dao said.

Orica’s present contract was signed as a result of tenures awarded to APLNG, which contained domestic supply conditions aimed primarily at supporting manufacturing.

APLNG supplied over 142 PJ pf to the domestic market at the end of CY 23 and is expected to supply another 151 PJ in 2024.
