Ausgold Limited has announced the recommencement of RC drilling at the Katanning Gold Project which lies within the underexplored Katanning Greenstone Belt in the South-West Archaean Yilgarn Craton in Western Australia.
According to the company, the 1200m RC drilling will complete the planned White Dam and Fraser programs and will comprise approximately 600m at White Dam and 600m at Fraser.
Ausgold also provided an update on the results from the December 2016 drilling at the new Datatine prospect. It said early results from the six-hole drilling program were “very encouraging”, with follow up RC and air core drilling to commence following the completion of the current program.
“Assay results are outstanding for the full White Dam program and for one RC hole at Datatine,” the company told the ASX.
“These results are expected to be finalised in the coming week.”
