The Boao Forum Asia (BFA) conference is being held in Perth from 29 to 31 August, focusing on clean energy and sustainable development.
The forum serves as a venue for high-level dialogue among governments, businesses, academia, and other non-governmental groups to discuss regional economic and trade concerns.
Approximately 180 government and industry representatives will attend the conference, with nearly half coming from Asia-Pacific.
The Boao Forum Asia was founded in 2001 and currently includes 28 countries. The Perth conference is a spin-off of the major Boao Forum, which took place earlier this year in China.
Premier Roger Cook has delivered an address at the conference.
“The Boao Forum for Asia Conference is a fantastic opportunity to showcase what makes Western Australia a key location for investment and trade,” Premier Cook said.
According to the Premier, hosting such a large group of high-powered business and industry professionals is a huge win for the city and Western Australia, and it will boost the State’s profile in the Asian market even more.
“It is also a chance to discuss the future of clean energy and our continued efforts towards decarbonisation,” he added.
