Essential Metals identified new high-priority lithium targets across the Pioneer Dome Project in WA, the active exploration and development company announced yesterday.

Essential identified 32 high priority targets and 16 medium priority ones out of 99 lithium-caesium areas of interest.

Commenting on the discovery, Essential Metals Managing Director Tim Spencer said: “Our large project area is right in the heart of WA’s ‘lithium corridor’ – which includes the Mt Marion, Bald Hill and Buldania lithium projects.

“We are in the attractive position of being the only ASX-listed, West Australian focused lithium explorer with a high-quality JORC lithium Resource, a market cap of under $50 million (currently $30M) and lots of exploration upside.”

Adertisement

Essential’s Pioneer Dome lithium resource stands at 11.2 Mt at 1.21% LiO2, and sits right next to the main highway connecting Kalgoorlie the Esperance seaport town in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields.

Scoping level metallurgical test work on its Cade deposit showed 74% lithia recovery.

The exploration company is eyeing field reconnaissance on the higher priority targets to expand the Dome North Resource. A drill program is targeted in the June Quarter. Planning for a Scoping Study will commence “at the appropriate time”, Essential said.

Essential also announced that assay results from the Juglah Dome Gold Project will come by mid-February.
