GenusPlus secured contract for the Pilbara Generation Project

GenusPlus Group Ltd today announced the award of a contract worth approximately $30 million for Fortescue‘s Pilbara Generation Project.

GenusPlus has been hired to complete the following works at the Pilbara Generation Project near North Star Junction, 26 kilometres west of Iron Bridge:

  • DC Reticulation,
  • Installation of Power Conversion Stations and access platforms, 
  • Installation of auxiliary equipment,
  • Supply and installation of 33 kV overhead lines and Fibre Optic cables, and
  • Substation modification works.

The project is expected to be finished in FY 2024 and will start right away with the help of about 80 GenusPlus employees.

GenusPlus Group’s Managing Director David Riches welcomed the chance to deepen the company’s partnership with Fortescue by delivering critical infrastructure for the Pilbara Generation Project.

Riches added that this is the second contract worth more than $30 million secured in the previous month, continuing the impressive conversion of the company’s $1.4 billion tender pipeline to orderbook moving into FY2024.
