Liontown Resources Limited has named Jon Latto, most recently the chief financial officer of Regis Resources Limited, to a similar role.
Latto has been serving as Liontown’s acting CFO since December 2022.
His LinkedIn profile highlights over two decades of experience in internal controls, mining, managerial finance, due diligence, management, financial auditing, accounting and financial reporting.
Before joining Regis in 2019, Latto worked as the CFO of Doray Minerals Limited, the secretary of Tanami Gold NL, and a senior manager at Ernst & Young’s business advisory services division.
A chartered accountant, Latto also holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia.
Liontown Managing Director and CEO Tony Ottaviano said the company would benefit from Latto’s expertise as it drives the development of the Kathleen Valley Lithium Project towards production in mid-2024.
“Since he joined Liontown, Jon has made a significant contribution to the finance function, executive team and the board, building on his deep knowledge of financial management and experience in the resources sector,” Ottaviano added.
He noted that he is looking forward to working with Latto as the company continues to transition into a globally significant provider of battery minerals.
