Mineral Resources (MinRes) congratulates its CSI Mining Services team on receiving the Operational Excellence Award at Rio Tinto’s Supplier Recognition Awards gala.
The awards recognise Rio Tinto’s suppliers for their exceptional performance and commitment to the company’s success. The Operational Excellence award recognises companies that go above and beyond to overcome challenges, deliver safely, increase productivity, and demonstrate industry-leading performance.
CSI won the Operational Excellence Category, beating out international companies with household brands worldwide. The team was recognised for delivering significant production tonnes for Rio Tinto’s Brockman and Tom Price iron ore mines in a safe, reliable, and consistent manner.
CSI has had a 17-year relationship with Rio Tinto, beginning in 2006 at West Angelas and Nammuldi.
“CSI is one of Rio Tinto’s largest site services providers and to deliver results in both safety and productivity while growing the trust and relationship between the two businesses is an extraordinary achievement,” MinRes Managing Director Chris Ellison said.
According to MinRes, the award recognises CSI as a preferred partner for Tier 1 clients and solidifies CSI’s position as the leading mining services supplier in Western Australia.
