Monadelphous secures new and extended contracts across resources, energy sectors

Engineering company Monadelphous Group Limited has secured new construction, maintenance contracts, and contract extensions worth around $170 million in the resources and energy sectors.

Monadelphous has been awarded a construction contract with Lynas Rare Earths for stage 1 of the Mt Weld Expansion Project in Western Australia, covering structural, mechanical, and piping works for the new concentration facility.

The company has also secured a multidisciplinary construction contract to upgrade Fortescue‘s Anderson Point iron ore stockyard in Port Hedland, Western Australia.

Additionally, the company has been awarded a three-year services contract to continue providing capital projects and maintenance support at Santos‘ production and support facilities in the Southern Highlands region of Papua New Guinea.

Meanwhile, BHP has extended Monadelphous’ master services agreement for general maintenance services in its Pilbara iron ore operations until 30 June 2025, with an additional one-year extension option. Additionally, the company has secured a one-year extension to its mechanical and electrical maintenance, shutdown, and project services contract across its Nickel West operations.

Lastly, the company has secured a year extension to its sustaining capital works master services agreement with Rio Tinto, providing multidisciplinary project services for Pilbara iron ore operations in Western Australia.
