
NRW Holdings Limited has been awarded a Letter of Intent from Allkem Limited for the mining services contract for the Mt Cattlin open-pit lithium mine in Western Australia.
The contract will be awarded formally once all outstanding terms have been resolved.
The contract is expected to be worth roughly $332 million over a 36-month period, and Mt Cattlin project will be supported by a staff of approximately 140 people
The contract calls for Load & Haul, Drill & Blast, and Material Rehandling. NRW will use an existing fleet of 200-250 tonne excavators and 150-tonne trucks, as well as an ancillary plant. Mobilisation is presently ongoing in preparation for the start of work in August.
