The order was placed by BMM Ispat, India’s leading steel manufacturing, which will receive 4,000 tonnes of 63% Fe filter cake (wet plant product) at a negotiated price of A$65 per tonne.

NLS Managing Director and CEO Cedric Goode said the company was also in discussions with multiple other customers, adding that he was confident of further improving sales price for equivalent product.

“The NSL team is very pleased to have now received an initial order from BMM and has immediately commenced production to sell into the order, with deliveries expected this month,” he added.

Adertisement

“Importantly, this again reaffirms the positive relationship we have with our end user BMM and our bona-fides in the region.”

NSL is the only Australian or foreign company to own and operate in India’s massive iron ore market. The company’s Phase Two wet beneficiation plant, which will be fed from NSL’s mines, will produce premium price iron ore product grading between 58-62% Fe at around 200,000 tonnes per annum.
