Farmers for Climate Action is set to hold a series of On-Farm Renewables workshops for Victorian farmers to discuss the benefits of renewable energy, storage, and electrification to their farms and communities.

Farmers for Climate Action will hold workshops for farmers and community members in Seymour, Echuca, Bendigo, Mildura, and Euroa in the first week of October. Farmers will hear from electrification and renewables experts, as well as other farmers who have made the switch to cheaper, greener energy.

“Climate change is making farmers’ jobs harder, but primary producers are keen to do what they can to protect their business and the future of farming in our regions,” Farmers for Climate Action Community Programs Manager Atienne Bakker-Szumer said.

“Embracing renewable energy and storage solutions is one thing farmers can do to lower their power bills and increase their resilience in the face of a hotter climate,” Bakker-Szumer stated.

The workshops will be held in the first week of October.
