Additionally, the company reiterated its commitment to net zero, saying it plans to refine the identified options for short-term targets and SSR Mining’s broader roadmap of strategic actions to help reduce the company’s carbon footprint and improve energy management.

In line with its ESG practices, SSR Mining also advanced the maturity of its Integrated Management System, which combines policies, standards, and procedures across the areas of safety and health, community relations, and the environment into a single, complete framework.

The company said it would focus on embedding the system into all areas of operation throughout the business.

SSR Mining President and CEO Rod Antal said the ESG and sustainability report supports the company’s efforts to operate “responsibly and sustainably” while maximizing the benefits to stakeholders.

“The report demonstrates our commitment to transparency and accountability and the efforts we take to generate value for our people and investors while staying true to ESG principles,” he added.
