Strandline Resources Limited completed its sixth and largest Heavy Mineral Concentrate (HMC) cargo, 11,000 tonnes valued at ~A$12 million CIF.

Strandline has now exported 57,000t of HMC after beginning commercial production at its Coburn mineral sands plant in Western Australia on 18 November 2022. HMC includes valuable critical minerals such as zircon, titanium, and monazite rare earths.

According to the company, the shipments have produced a total revenue of A$60 million, providing working capital for Strandline as it continues to commission and ramp up activities at Coburn.

The company reported that mining operations and mineral processing at the Wet Concentrate Plant took place every day in May while mining throughput and output were limited at times owing to commissioning-related difficulties such as equipment breakdowns and plant availability.

Adertisement

As part of the production ramp-up process, the Mineral Separation Plant (MSP) is focusing on improving equipment and plant availability, optimising mine planning, and increasing mineral recoveries in final product streams.

While the MSP is being commissioned, the Company plans to continue shipping HMC goods at a pace of one shipment per month. Strandline aims to include data about these shipments in its quarterly reports beginning with the start of the next fiscal year, as part of its shift to producer status.
