
Thiess has secured a $240 million nickel mining contract with PT Halmahera Sukses Mineral, marking its second successful venture in the Indonesian nickel market this year.
Under the 3.5-year contract, Thiess will provide entire mining operations, including mine development, haul road construction, ore loading and hauling. The mine is located in Central Halmahera, North Maluku, only 6 km from another Thiess operation, consolidating the company’s regional footprint and operational efficiency.
