Critical minerals company Tivan Limited has added new advisors to support the progression of its environmental approvals processes, namely EcOz for its projects in the Northern Territory (NT) and Animal Plant Mineral (APM) for the Speewah Vanadium-Titanium-Iron Project in Western Australia (WA).

As an advisor, EcOz will provide environmental consulting services to Tivan to support its planned processing facility at the Middle Arm Sustainable Development Precinct (MASDP), and for the Mount Peake Project and any additional projects in NT.

According to Tivan, EcOz’s understanding of the MASDP Strategic Environmental Assessment will help the company as it works to improve regulatory pathways for the planned processing facility.

Meanwhile, Perth-based APM is an environmental consulting services provider that will work to progress environmental approvals for the Speewah Vanadium-Titanium-Iron Project, which Tivan agreed to acquire from King River Resources Limited in February.

Adertisement

According to Tivan, APM has already taken preparatory steps for the environmental approval scoping study for Speewah to commence following the completion of the acquisition.

The company said the study would support early engagement efforts with regulatory stakeholders, confirm environmental approval pathways, identify knowledge gaps in existing environmental data and develop scopes of work for baseline technical studies to boost current information databases.

As part of the study, APM will conduct a site visit in April to ensure that long-lead items are identified and progressed immediately.

Commenting on the announcement, Tivan Executive Chairman Grant Wilson said the move would optimise the company’s environmental advisory capabilities and will help facilitate approval pathways designed to expedite project delivery.

He added that the changes have been “carefully considered” and implemented in conjunction with stakeholders and key regulatory bodies, including the NT Environmental Protection Authority.
