
CIMIC Group’s subsidiary UGL has been awarded two separate contracts in the resources and utilities sectors valued at a total of $135 million.
The first contract is with existing client Viva Energy for the provision of maintenance, projects and turnaround services in Victoria over a two-year period.
The second contract will see UGL design and construct two greenfield switching stations and approximately 65 kilometres of 330kV transmission line over 18 months for Powerlink, to connect the MacIntyre Precinct in South West Queensland to the transmission network.
CIMIC Group Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Juan Santamaria said: “UGL has a national presence providing specialised engineering expertise to clients in the resources and utilities space. According to CIMIC’s statement, both contracts are effective from October 2021.
