Talga Group Ltd announced that the appeal filing period for the Nunasvaara South graphite mine environmental and Natura 2000 permit closed on 26 April 2023.
The Permit was issued by the Swedish Land and Environment Court on 5 April 2023.
The Court has acknowledged that it has received six submissions about the Permit, five of which involve requests for extensions of time to provide relevant documents indicating grounds for appeal. Two of the six submissions were made by local Reindeer Herding Cooperatives, with the rest made by individuals and non-profit environmental organisations.
The submissions will now be sent to the Land and Environment Court of Appeal for a judgement on the extension requests.
