The Western Australian Government is offering emerging innovators the chance to attend the Asia Pacific region’s leading agrifood technology event, evokeAG 2024.
evokeAG is collaborating with the State Government to host the two-day conference on 20-21 February at the Perth Convention Centre.
As part of its commitment to nurturing the potential of WA-based agritech innovators, the State Government will reimburse the ticket of up to 10 WA agrifood-tech startups to attend the event.
evokeAG offers local businesses a unique chance to learn from leaders in agriculture, food manufacturing, research, innovation, investment, and policy.
Start-ups from regional WA, as well as first-time applicants for evokeAG funding packages, are urged to apply.
“In previous years, the WA Government has offered support to successful local innovators such as Xsights, AxisTech, Wide Open Agriculture and Agora Livestock to participate in evokeAG conferences,” Agriculture and Food Minister Jackie Jarvis said.
“We have a dynamic agrifood industry here in Western Australia, and new ideas and innovations will help keep this sector growing and thriving into the future,” Minister Jarvis stated.
Expressions of interest will be accepted until 25 January 2024.
Innovation and Digital Economy Minister Stephen Dawson encourages WA innovators to take advantage of the funding and attend the event.
“The international event will provide a great opportunity for business owners to network, gain new insights and make new connections to help develop their ideas,” Minister Dawson added.
