Australian listed miner Cokal Limited has commenced development of the mining area at the Bumi Barito Mineral (BBM) coking coal mine with the start of land clearance at Pit 3.
Cokal said additional equipment has arrived at the site to facilitate Pit 3 land clearance, with a larger fleet of equipment scheduled to arrive over the next couple of weeks.
Cokal owns 60% of the BBM project, which is located in the Central Kalimantan Province of Indonesia.
The mine will produce high-quality PCI and coking coal, with first production anticipated in September 2022.
