Indiana Resources Limited (ASX:IDA) announced yesterday that it has wrapped up maiden RC drilling at its Minos Prospect within the Central Gawler Craton Gold Project.

A total of 1,604m of Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling across 10 holes was completed within the prospects’ Lake Labyrinth Shear Zones (“LLSZ”), and nine of ten holes drilled ended in the mineralised shear zone – indicating possible growth opportunities for the exploration company.

Collected samples are awaiting assay, and the results of which are expected within three to four weeks.

Upon the release of results, Indiana plans to expand the drill programme, which will likely include diamond drilling to further analyse the mineralised zone.

Adertisement

Prior to this announcement, Indiana reported seven significant gold mineralisation intersected in previous drilling efforts at the Minos and Ariandne targets located within the LLSZ.

Initial review of historic drill hole data highlighted significant high-grade structures that were not effectively tested by earlier drilling programmes. Consequently, Indiana will also likely test targets at Ariadne and Company Well in an upcoming drilling plan.

Commenting on the drilling’s completion, Indiana’s Executive Chairman Bronwyn Barnes said: “We are very pleased that drilling has been completed safely and ahead of schedule.”

“This is an exciting time for the Company as we plan to expand the exploration programme for 2021 and look forward to receiving results from this programme in due course.”
