Mineral Resources Limited (MinRes) has announced that it completed the acquisition of Norwest Energy NL.

At the close of the takeover offer period on 29 April, MinRes held a relevant interest of 93.24% in Norwest shares, and following the completion of the compulsory acquisition process, MinRes acquired 100% of Norwest shares.

Pursuant to section 666B(2) of the Corporations Act 2001, MinRes has completed the acquisition and provided consideration shares to Norwest, to be held on trust, for the Norwest shareholders whose shares were compulsorily acquired.

According to MinRes, it has been registered as the holder of Norwest’s shares and has already provided the consideration shares, which shareholders are now entitled to claim with respect to their previous holding of Norwest shares.

Adertisement

The consideration share is one fully paid MinRes share for every 1,300 Norwest shares held.

MinRes urges shareholders to claim their considerations as soon as possible as unclaimed shares will be transferred to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
